6 DAYS OF BODY SHOP HEROES – DAY 6

So, some really good friends came over for a Jamaican curry last night and I didn’t get around to posting this on actual day 6, but let’s get to it now! I present my two favourite items from The Body Shop make up collection:

DAY 6  – All-In-One BB Cream & Matte Lip Liquid in Tahiti Hibiscus 016

I love this BB Cream for a five minute face. When I’m having a laid back day, or in a rush to get to work or college, I like a makeup routine that takes no time at all. I adore the transformative power of makeup, but sometimes I just want super quick no-makeup makeup that just makes me look a tiny bit fitter!

I like to apply a dot on my forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and neck and blend it all together with a large stippling brush. There really is barely any coverage in this, so I pop some creamy concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes to give me cover where I need it.

I also add a swipe of mascara on my upper lashes and pop a small bit of blush high up on my cheekbones. I add some balm or nude lipstick, and I’m done.

This BB Cream is super, duper moisturising, with just enough colour to slightly even out skin tone. It comes out white and adjusts to skin colour as you apply it. I’m currently using shade 02, but with my pale winter skin, should probably move to using 01 or 00. It contains aloe vera, is very glowy and dewy, and doesn’t clog my pores.

I do have very oily skin, so I don’t moisturise before applying this, and I do need to blot shine with powder throughout the day when wearing it, but I consider that a small price to pay for taking 5 mins to get ready in the morning.

£12- 100mls

*This BB cream actually comes with a black lid and not a silver one, but I dropped mine down the loo so…

Matte Lip Liquid in Tahiti Hibiscus 016

This lipstick is so not the colour of the tube. I was expecting a dark plum and was pleasantly surprised to find a very flattering pink colour that can be applied lightly for a bit of a stain, or with a heavy hand for an intense colour – see swatches below.

Excuse the wonky second swatch!

This liquid lipstick is matte but not drying in the slightest. If applying it heavily then it needs a red or dark pink lipliner to prevent it bleeding. It feels so light on my lips that I forget I’m wearing it. It’s not a long wear one so you will need a top up after eating and drinking. I’ve been wearing it loads since buying it. It’s so easy to wear, and with just a swipe of this, it makes my make up look very ‘done’ when I’m wearing very little at all. I like it a lot.

£6 – 8ml
